M1 participates in Start Digital initiative

M1 Limited (M1) announced on 5 November 2019 its participation in the Start Digital initiative, launched earlier this year by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and Enterprise Singapore.

The Start Digital program is aimed at helping newly-incorporated SMEs and new adopters of digital solutions to get a headstart in their digital journey. Under this initiative, SMEs can take up any two solutions from these five categories: accounting, HR and payroll, digital marketing, digital transaction and cybersecurity. For SMEs who sign up for a minimum 18-month contract, costs are waived for at least six months.

Participating in the Start Digital initiative is part of M1’s future plans to join in more of IMDA’s initiatives catered for SMEs, and introduce more made-to-measure solutions for businesses to adopt ICT and business services and products seamlessly.

For greater collaboration, M1 is also exploring to provide more opportunities for SME owners to connect and share about their businesses, as well as to be updated with the latest and upcoming industry trends.

According to Mr Willis Sim, Chief Corporate Sales and Solutions Officer, M1, “digital technologies are transforming every part of Singapore’s economy as we move further ahead in our goal to become a smart nation. SMEs are a crucial part of our local ecosystem and M1 is proud to support their digital transformation efforts, helping them improve operations and boost revenue streams.”

“This is the first in a series of steps that we have planned for our SME customers, and we are excited to see our efforts translate into solid outcomes as we increase our focus on the enterprise business,” he continued.
